When creative minds come together, the workspace should inspire just as much as the work itself. That was the vision behind the transformation of John Brown Media’s London office — a project delivered by the talented Inhouse Design team.

A Space That Reflects a Creative Brand

John Brown Media is known for producing engaging content and storytelling for global brands. The design brief called for a workspace that would reflect that same creativity, collaboration, and clarity of thinking. Inhouse Design responded with a contemporary office environment that balances industrial character with warmth and comfort.

Exposed ceilings, visible services, and structured lighting give the space an urban, modern edge. At the same time, soft furnishings, natural wood finishes, and carefully curated textures create a welcoming atmosphere that feels more like a creative studio than a corporate office.

Collaboration at the Core

The layout champions flexibility and interaction. A variety of informal breakout areas encourage spontaneous conversations and idea-sharing. From high-backed booth seating for focused discussions to relaxed lounge areas with modular sofas and poufs, the office supports multiple working styles throughout the day.

The clever use of framed structures within the space creates semi-private zones without compromising openness. These architectural features add depth and rhythm while maintaining clear sightlines across the office.

Comfort Meets Functionality

Inhouse Design ensured that practicality remained central to the aesthetic vision. Acoustic seating booths provide quiet spaces for private calls and concentrated work. Open desks positioned alongside large windows maximise natural light, boosting wellbeing and productivity.

The choice of materials plays a key role in achieving both durability and design appeal. Dark flooring grounds the space, contrasting beautifully with light walls and natural timber accents. A palette of blues and greys reinforces brand sophistication while adding visual cohesion throughout.

Lighting That Shapes Experience

Lighting is used as both a functional and decorative element. Suspended feature pendants soften the industrial ceiling, while linear lighting enhances task areas. Warm-toned bulbs introduce a relaxed ambience, ensuring the office transitions seamlessly from focused daytime productivity to after-hours collaboration.

A Workplace Designed for the Future

More than just a redesign, this project represents a shift in how workspace is experienced. Inhouse Design has created an adaptable environment that supports teamwork, concentration, and creativity in equal measure.

The result is a dynamic London office that not only reflects John Brown Media’s identity but also empowers its team to do their best work every day.
