About the Project

InHouse Design Studio was commissioned to design the interiors for Latitude Aparthotel, located in the iconic Kings Building. The brief called for the creation of a modern, boutique hospitality experience that blends urban sophistication with the warmth of residential comfort. The client envisioned interiors that would appeal to both short-term guests and long-stay residents — spaces that feel contemporary, inviting, and distinctly Cape Town in character. The concept was built around the idea of refined urban living. The design approach paired sleek architectural elements with layered textures, rich materials, and a timeless palette of neutrals accented by bold, modern details. The interiors celebrate the building's heritage while introducing a fresh, contemporary energy through bespoke furniture, curated artworks, and ambient lighting. Each space — from the hotel suites to the serviced apartments — was crafted to evoke a sense of calm luxury, comfort, and connection to the surrounding cityscape. The completed project delivers a seamless fusion of hotel sophistication and residential ease. Elegant yet approachable, the interiors of Latitude Hotel & Apartments embody the perfect balance between functionality and style.
