InHouse Design Studio, an award-winning interior design firm, recently completed the luxurious refurbishment of an Atlantic Seaboard apartment on Cape Town’s exclusive Clifton Beach. This dazzling revamp transformed an outdated three-bedroom residence into a sleek, contemporary dream home for a trendy couple and their pets, showcasing InHouse Design Studio’s expertise in luxury residential interior design. Addressing specific planning issues, InHouse Design Studio’s Creative Director Aidan Hart and Senior Designer Jenine Bruce revitalized the space. The front door was strategically repositioned to create an inviting entranceway, aligning visitor attention and providing a unique gallery for the clients’ art collection. A bespoke camera lens peephole, a nod to the clients' passion for photography, offers an exclusive glimpse into their lives. Exiting this sleek entrance, the living area unfolds as an extraordinary fusion of dark and light design elements. White timber floor beams contrast with black timber slats wrapping part of the ceiling, while reflective black glass on the back wall emphasizes evocative artworks. A newly constructed slanted wall, complete with directional lighting, serves as a personal art gallery. The kitchen was reimagined as an open-plan centerpiece, seamlessly integrated into the living area. A striking steel-framed island, clad with Royal White and Nero Marquina black marble, takes pride of place, highlighted by a dramatic pendant light fitting custom-designed by InHouse Design Studio and produced by industrial designer Ryan Matchett. An elegant ebony dining table, seating twelve, is flanked by chic leopard print and black upholstered dining chairs, illuminated by custom-made Tom Dixon Melt lights. This Clifton apartment refurbishment by InHouse Design Studio is a testament to bespoke interior design, delivering a fashionable and functional urban sanctuary in Cape Town.
