About the Project

Following the successful redesign of John Brown Media’s Cape Town office, Inhouse Design Studio was commissioned to design the company’s London branch. The Inhouse Design Team applied their expertise as workspace experts to create an international designs solution that makes use of a monochromatic colour scheme with pops of turquoise and blue, serving as a visual nod to the original John Brown Media branding. Through innovative space planning, the interior design drives conversation in the workplace by incorporating breakaway areas into a dynamic spatial plan. A notable feature in the design is the internal staircase, which seamlessly connects the ground and first floors, as well as the second and third floors. This central stairwell, a key element of our custom designed furniture and architectural integration, actively drives collaboration and office dialogue by connecting the building and doing away with traditional office access points, such as small elevators and fire escapes. The result is an interior office design that eliminates the idea of working in silos, instead encouraging integration among employees through its open-plan design and fostering a truly collaborative environment. This project exemplifies Inhouse Design Studio’s capability in delivering cutting-edge international designs that enhance workplace functionality and employee interaction.
