One Flow Yoga and Wellness Club

About the Project

One Flow is a yoga and wellness social club in Cape Town, designed by Inhouse Design Studio with a vision to create a comprehensive wellness hub. The project focused on translating core values of connection, community, and complete well-being into an immersive physical experience. The design prioritizes a seamless user journey, featuring a double-volume reception area that provides immediate visual connection throughout the studio and guides visitors to distinct practice zones. Translucent glass screens maintain a sense of connection while offering dedicated spaces, with one studio specifically enclosed for deeper, inward journeys. The material and color palettes were carefully selected to foster calm and balance. Solid Spruce timber floors in the yoga studios offer visual warmth and reduce impact, complemented by warm whites and greens for a tactile and comforting environment. A key innovation is the "Wellzone," offering a unique sauna journey experience. Sustainability was a core driver, with a solid 175mm timber flooring system replacing concrete and steel to reduce the carbon footprint, and highly efficient LP gas heating for the hot studios. The project was completed in four months, resulting in a space described as "positive energy wrapped up in a physical space, for our seekers to re-energise and re-wire."
