About the Project

Inhouse Design Studio was commissioned for a multi-floor commercial design project for Dimension Data, a division of NTT, in Cape Town. This ambitious undertaking addressed the evolving needs of the modern office landscape, irrevocably altered by the shift to remote work. Leveraging the freestyle workspace planning principles for which Inhouse Design Studio is celebrated, the ground, first, and sixth through eighth floors were meticulously redesigned and refitted. The goal was to realize a true workplace ecosystem that functions as a home away from home, offering dynamic spaces for creativity, comfort, and collaboration. This innovative approach to office interior design in Cape Town reflects our commitment to creating adaptive and inspiring work environments. Key to this interior design strategy were the activity-based "neighbourhoods"—workplace zones that support various work modes—which are strategically situated alongside windows to maximize natural light. At the heart of the building, "fuel stations" serve as central hubs for relaxation, regrouping, and refocusing, fostering both connection and solace. The Inhouse Design team infused the office interior with a variety of plush breakaway spaces to accommodate all types of interactions. Fully acoustic privacy pods offer quiet zones for focused work, while a stunning bar with panoramic city views provides the ideal setting for team building and client entertainment. This project for Dimension Data showcases our expertise in creating holistic interior design solutions that blend productivity with comfort, setting a new standard for the modern workplace.
