IHBAZA, a distinguished design office specialist and sister company to Inhouse Design Studio, successfully executed an extensive office interior design refresh for Old Mutual Wealth. This impressive project encompassed an 11,000 square metre, five-floor fit-out in Cape Town, demonstrating IHBAZA's expertise in delivering sophisticated and functional workspace designs. The core brief for this significant office interior design project was to achieve an upscale interior while prioritizing the repurposing and preservation of existing services and infrastructure. The outcome is a sleek, contemporary office space that not only boasts improved functionality but also features five distinct floors, each with its own unique aesthetic identity. This approach highlights IHBAZA's commitment to sustainable and intelligent workspace design solutions. The ground floor of Old Mutual Wealth's Cape Town office is exclusively dedicated to client-facing interactions, exuding an atmosphere of high-end luxury. The office interior design here is characterized by a refined monochromatic colour palette, elegantly punctuated by vibrant accents of gold, copper, blue, and plum – reflecting Old Mutual Wealth’s updated brand colours. Living greenery adds a touch of natural softness, balancing the chic and formal ambiance of the space. This open-plan setting is thoughtfully designed with a variety of functional meeting spaces to cater to diverse needs. Formal enclosed rooms provide essential privacy for both large and small meetings, while inviting open-plan breakaway lounges, illuminated by statement pendant lights, offer a more relaxed and collaborative environment. This meticulous attention to detail underscores IHBAZA's prowess as a leading design office specialist. Each of the five floors showcases a unique identity, artfully expressed through distinct accent colours and patterns. These aesthetic variations are subtly integrated through custom vinyls on glass glazing panels and bespoke wallpapers, all harmonizing with the various brand colours. IHBAZA's workspace design strategy included careful consideration for the placement of different employee groups, ensuring each team is situated in their most ideal setting. Consequently, every floor features a diverse array of large boardrooms, smaller focus rooms, and comfortable breakaway lounges, all designed to cater to specific operational requirements. Completing this modernised office space are smart technological systems that ensure ultimate ease of use. These include power-integrated tables and panels, alongside daylight-harvesting time systems that intelligently dim lighting as the day progresses, complemented by motion sensors. This integration of advanced technology with thoughtful office interior design solidifies IHBAZA's reputation for creating cutting-edge and efficient workspace designs in Cape Town and beyond.
