Inhouse Design Studio, based in Cape Town, stands as a premier firm specializing in comprehensive office interior design, space planning, procurement, and project management – offering a true full turnkey solution for corporate environments. Our expertise ensures that leading national insurers, like Santam, are impeccably represented within their built spaces. As the trusted corporate brand custodians for Santam's built brand since 2009, Inhouse Design Studio has been instrumental in developing and rolling out their interior strategy. Our latest completed project at Santam's Durbanville campus exemplifies our commitment to creating functional, aesthetically pleasing, and brand-aligned workspaces. For the administrative building's ground floor, we undertook a significant refurbishment of the reception area, lobby, and corporate offices. To create a welcoming yet professional first impression, the main reception foyer was meticulously retiled, featuring a contemporary reception desk and a comfortable waiting lounge equipped with a plasma TV. A key innovation was the design of a convenient meeting room adjacent to the waiting area. This informal client meeting space enhances security by removing the need for external guests to pass through security checkpoints, directly addressing the brief's requirement to upgrade the building's access control system. The lift lobby received a modern upgrade with elegant glass cladding, sophisticated overhead bulkheads, and striking pendant light features. A thoughtfully designed slatted screen provides privacy, subtly delineating the reception from the lift lobby without compromising the open feel. In line with Santam's push for sustainability, Inhouse Design Studio prioritized energy-efficient lighting and eco-friendly sanitary ware. We made a conscious effort to source locally manufactured finishes and renewable materials like glass, ensuring an environmentally responsible installation. The bathroom upgrades included new sensor taps and urinals, reflecting our belief that these spaces are crucial to the overall office experience and design execution. Beyond the ground floor, our team applied advanced space-planning principles to reconfigure the office layout into an efficient open-plan constellation. This redesign meticulously adhered to Santam's corporate identity and brand manual, which mandates diverse meeting spaces, from collaborative campsites to formal boardrooms. Inhouse Design Studio's holistic approach ensures that every aspect of the office environment reflects the client's brand values and operational needs.
