About the Project

The Inhouse Design Studio was commissioned by Urban Lime to recreate the sophisticated aesthetic of a luxurious New York corporate management office, moving away from the stark character of their previous workspace. As recognized interior office design experts, the Inhouse Design Team, led by Creative Director Aidan Hart and Associate Director Moiisha Visagie, meticulously balanced luxury with functionality across two floors. The first floor serves as a dedicated client-facing and informal meeting zone, where the team introduced high-end elements and flexible, moveable furniture to accommodate various group sizes. On the second floor, which houses the company’s diverse departments, the design integrates contemporary operational elements with luxurious touches, reflecting Inhouse Design Studio's mastery of international designs that cater to both form and function. The project demanded advanced space planning and problem-solving due to unique construction challenges, such as limited access points that required custom designed furniture to be built on-site or craned into the building. To manage the deep, dark palette requested for an air of sophistication without diminishing the perceived scale of the compact office, the Inhouse Design Team specified strategic lighting solutions. Track lighting was utilized to highlight standout features and artworks, while a statement pendant light added impact to the reception area. This interplay of light and shadow, combined with carefully selected artworks, maximized the available space and created a sleek, modern environment. The completed interior office design not only provides a comfortable, contemporary workspace for Urban Lime’s staff but also ensures their client-facing zones successfully reflect the world-class development work that defines their brand.
